Eclypse® Adherent is a super absorbent dressing with a soft silicone contact layer. The soft silicone layer provides convenient gentle adherence and will reduce pain and tissue damage on removal.
The dressing has a rapid wicking face combined with the highly absorbent moisture locking system. The absorbent layer provides a large capacity with rapid fluid uptake forming a gel on contact with exudate. The backing is a water resistant barrier film to prevent strike-through with a high moisture vapour transfer rate prolonging wear ability.
Available in sizes: 10cm x 10cm, 10cm x 20cm, 15cm x 15cm and 20cm x 30cm.
Eclypse® Adherent is placed face down on wound surface with beige backing uppermost. For large wounds, dressings can be placed side-by-side.
Wear time will depend on the level of exudate but Eclypse® Adherent can be left in place for up to seven days. Do not cut Eclypse Adherent.
Top tip: A good tip is to choose a larger size of Eclypse® Adherent than you would usually select; due to the hydrophobic nature of soft silicone, the dressing will need to adhere to a dry surface that surrounds the wound.
Do not use on arterial bleeds and heavily bleeding wounds.
Advancis Medical was the first to introduce medical-grade Manuka honey as a medical device into the UK. Since 2004, they have been working with some of the world's leading experts in their field, patients, and their carers, to develop solutions to wound management challenges. Advancis Medical's range has been expanded to use the latest advances in material technology and now includes soft silicone atraumatic dressings, super-absorbent dressings designed to handle high levels of exudate and fluid and their hydrophilic foam dressing range launched in 2011.
